An Introduction to Project Management, Fourth Edition offers a general yet concise introduction to project management. This book provides up-to-date information on how good project, program, and portfolio management can help you achieve organizational success. It includes over 50 samples of tools and techniques applied to one large project, and it is suitable for all majors, including business, engineering, healthcare, and more. This text uses a chronological approach to project management, with detailed explanations and examples for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects. It also includes  guides to using Microsoft Project 2010 and AtTask (a leading web-based project management tool, plus free access) as well as several case studies. It is based on the 2012 PMBOK® Guide. (The Third Edition is based on the 2008 guide.)

Project 2013 Guide now available! See the link below to purchase the physical book or click here for the kindle version of Appendix A: Brief Guide to Microsoft Project 2013 . I will be publishing a Revised Fourth Edition soon with this new appendix. You can download a free trial of Project 2013 from www.microsoft.com/project If you are still using older versions of Project, you can download my old guides to them for fee (Project 2010 instructions here and the 2007 instructions for  here). Also, I'm sorry to say that my AtTask account is having big problems with log-ins and sample files being available. You can just read about it instead of doing the steps yourself.

The Kindle versions of the Revised Third Edition and An Introduction to Project Management, Fourth Edition are also available for only $50. You can download free Kindle software to run on PCs, Macs, smart phones, and other devices or use the Cloud Reader.
