Welcome! I'm Kathy Schwalbe, Ph.D., PMP, and mother of three! Students can access a lot of information related to An Introduction to Project Management, Third or Fourth Edition, on the Student Resources link above. Instructors and bookstore managers can find more details on the Instructor Resources and Order Information pages. Anyone can purchase the books from amazon.com or the amazon sites in Europe and other countries.
An Introduction to Project Management, Fourth Edition, and the Revised Fourth Edition offer a general yet concise introduction to project management. The texts use a chronological approach, with detailed explanations and examples for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing projects. The only difference between the two books is Appendix A. One includes a guide to Microsoft Project 2010 and the other (revised edition) includes a guide to Project 2013.
Project 2013 Guide now available! See the link below to purchase the physical book or click here for the kindle version of Appendix A: Brief Guide to Microsoft Project 2013. You can download a free trial of Project 2013 from www.microsoft.com/project. If you are still using older versions of Project, you can download my old guides to them for FREE (Project 2010 instructions here and the 2007 instructions here). You can share these free versions, but please keep the copyright information on them. Also, I'm sorry to say that my AtTask account is having big problems with log-ins and sample files being available. You can just read about it instead of doing the steps yourself.
November 2013 update: Note that this book and my Healthcare Project Management book are part of Amazon's new matchbook program. If you bought (or now buy) the physical book, you get the kindle version for only $2.99!
· Microsoft Project files for Appendix A (for both Project 2007 and 2010) NOTE! As of March 2013, Microsoft is only providing a free trial of Project 2013.You can buy my new Appendix A for a guide to Project 2013 or the Revised 4th edition.
